Letter from Mughni Tabassum

Tabassum, Mughni. Letter from Mughni Tabassum. To Rashed, N.M. Feb. 15, 1971. 2 pp. 1 sheet. 7.5 x 10. Handwritten. Handwritten aerogramme from Mughni Tabassum to Rashed, sent to P.O Box 1555 in Tehran. Mughni Tabassum informs Rashed that ' Noon Meem Rashed' has been published and he is sending two copies with the letter. He asks Rashed if he would want to send copies to Karachi, Lahore or anywhere else and also informs him that copies have been sent to all addresses in different countries that he had mentioned. He also expresses his sorrow over Rashed not being able to come to Hyderabad and mentions that he is planing to publish the fourth editon of 'Shi`r o Hikmat' either by the end of March or start of April. He wants Rashed to publish his long poem (Guman ka mumkin?) in this issue. The letter is further continued on another page whereby Mughni Tabassum expands on how the 'N.M Rashed' publication, due to many limitations and complications, hasn't turn out the way he expected or wanted it to be. He apologies in regard to this. He goes on to state that because he couldn't get a hold of 'Iran men ajnabi' and' La = insan', he couldn't write an essay on Rashed's poetry. However, he claims to have written an analysis of Rashed's poem ' Mujhe wida` kar' instead. However, he states his desire of writing a dissertation on Rashed and his poetry, also asking for permission. He further requests for all information that will help him with writing the essays. In end, he informs that he would let Shahryar know about Rashed's change of plans. On the right corner of the letter, he briefly notes that he will be sending Rashed's materials and pictures in a few days. Urdu. Box 2. Folder 8: Letters of publishers and writers. 076.
